qspec.saturation_intensity  (  f a a_dipole = 1.0  )[source]

The saturation intensity of an electronic dipole transition $I_0 = \pi f^3hA_{ki} / (3c^2a_\mathrm{dipole})$.

Parameters:
farray_like

The frequency $f$ of the transition $|i\rangle\rightarrow|k\rangle$ (MHz).

aarray_like

The Einstein $A_{ki}$ coefficient (MHz).

a_dipolearray_like

The reduced dipole coefficient of the transition (see qspec.a_dipole).

Returns:
sat_intensityndarray

The saturation intensity $I_0$.
