qspec.scattering_rate  (  df a s  )[source]

The two-state-equilibrium scattering-rate of an electronic dipole transition $$\begin{aligned} \Gamma_\mathrm{sc} &= \frac{s}{2}\frac{A_{ki}^3}{(4\pi\Delta f)^2 + (1 + s)A_{ki}^2}\\[2ex] \lim\limits_{s\rightarrow\inf}\Gamma_\mathrm{sc}\big|_{\Delta f = 0} &= A_{ki} / 2. \end{aligned}$$

Parameters:
dfarray_like

The frequency detuning $\Delta f$ of the absorbed light. This must be differences of real frequencies, such that $\Delta\omega = 2\pi\Delta f$ (MHz).

aarray_like

The Einstein $A_{ki}$ coefficient (MHz).

sarray_like

The saturation parameter $s$.

gammandarray

The two-state-equilibrium scattering-rate $\Gamma_\mathrm{sc}$ of an electronic dipole transition (MHz).
